How To Use Nook Color Without Registering

Can't trigger OOBE button on Nook Color!

I hope someone can help me out! I'g trying to skip OOBE because of connectivity issues when trying to set up my sisters reset Nook Color. I've Googled like crazy but I tin only go as far as the Device Info (Manufacturing plant) page. Everything says to hold the + button while pressing the bottom right of the screen but there is the reset button there and Everytime I do the combination it merely wipes the nook again. I've tried clicking other parts of the screen simply no results??? It's frustrating as hell and hope someone can assistance me out!
